LivMats<\/strong> (short for Living Materials<\/em>) is an international research project addressing a major challenge: CO\u2082 aus der Luft und biologische Abfallstoffe<\/strong> nutzen, um daraus How can we produce essential chemical substances without relying on fossil resources \u2013 and even use CO\u2082 from the air in the process?<\/strong> The answer lies in so-called cat-LMs (catalytic living materials): novel, biologically active systems that use microorganisms and natural fibers to efficiently and sustainably convert CO\u2082 and biological waste into valuable chemical building blocks.<\/p>
