supported by public funding through the European funding program <strong>M-ERA.NET<\/strong> , co-financed by the European Union via Horizon Europe, and by national bodies such as the <strong>Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism.<\/strong> \u2013 finanziert.<br \/>LivMat focuses on developing new living materials that use CO\u2082 and waste products to produce sustainable about?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>LivMats<\/strong> (short for <em>Living Materials<\/em>) is an international research project addressing a major challenge: <strong>CO\u2082 aus der Luft und biologische Abfallstoffe<\/strong> nutzen, um daraus <strong>How can we produce essential chemical substances without relying on fossil resources \u2013 and even use CO\u2082 from the air in the process?<\/strong> The answer lies in so-called cat-LMs (catalytic living materials): novel, biologically active systems that use microorganisms and natural fibers to efficiently and sustainably acid.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\ud83d\udd39 Adipic acid is mainly derived from petroleum today and is a key component in producing nylon \u2013 used in clothing, carpets, car parts, or toothbrushes.\n\n\ud83d\udd39 \u03b5-Caprolactone is a building block for biodegradable plastics (bioplastics) \u2013 meaning plastics that break down over time in nature, instead of persisting as waste for decades.\n\nThese substances are naturally produced by the microorganisms when supplied with CO\u2082, light, and water.<\/strong> . <strong>.<\/strong> .<\/li>\n<li><strong>.<\/strong> .
